Author: Kris Correira

Kris Correira is a physician assistant who has been in clinical practice since 1993. She is a member of the Catholic Medical Association and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She is certified in Health Care Ethics through the National Catholic Bioethics Center, and has a Master of Arts in Theology with a concentration in Bioethics. She is active in end-of-life care issues. She educates the public about the healthcare proxy, advance directives, and MOLST/POLST forms and regularly has these important discussions with her patients. Besides helping people protect their right to medical care, she also fights against the legalization of physician assisted suicide in Massachusetts through community presentations, meeting with legislators, giving legislative testimony, and in the media. Kristine holds a Doctor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from MCPHS University. She received her physician assistant training and earned a Master of Health Professions from Northeastern University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in biological science and in computer science from Wellesley College.
