The senate version of the Assisted Suicide bill, S.1331, though accompanied by its identical House bill, did eventually end up in the Health Care Financing Committee where we expected them to die. Unfortunately, that committee passed it favorably over to the Senate Committee on Ways and Means. The House more strongly opposes Assisted Suicide, so this is likely why it is working its way through the Senate side.
