The 10th Annual Novena to St. Joseph was yet another outstanding event in which we prayed for the sick and suffering by name. We prayed that assisted suicide not be legalized here in Massachusetts or anywhere else, and that this practice, so corrupting to medicine and society, be ended.
One especially memorable part of this novena was the eight night coinciding with All Saints’ Day. Being a Monday, this tremendous feast was not obligatory. Nonetheless, it was a Holy Day of Opportunity for the enormous crowd that came that holy night.
