New Mexico legalized assisted suicide, making it the 11th jurisdiction in the US to do so. Compassion & Choices named Massachusetts as its next target, along with Nevada. The bills(S.1384 and H.2381) are currently under consideration by the Joint Committee on Public Health. Many of the members are co-sponsors. The ranking minority House member, Hannah Kane, has been hostile to those who have testified against past bills.
We need to stop this! I have put together a mailing list, reviving my social media sites, creating a radio program in conjunction with 1230am Emmanuel Radio, and maybe even start some podcasting. My focus is news and education about assisted suicide, palliative and end-of-life care, and medical ethics.
Let us promote a culture that promotes human flourishing based on our human nature and due our inherent dignity.
