Doctors Confused by DNR Orders

    I think it is a bit misleading to say that “any kind of advanced care directive” – aren’t we trying to get people to fill them out with an emphasis on having a good proxy who knows what you want?

      Thanks for the clarification. My point is that if you state in writing that you refuse anything, it can be interpreted that you refuse everything. You are right to point out that it is best to name a proxy who knows your wishes and not state anything more than that.
