This promises to be an excellent opportunity to educate those who may not know that this legislation is being considered yet again, only this time with a Public Health Committee packed with supporters. Contacting legislators is essential to let them know we care about this issue and to urge them to oppose it.
Please invite those who are not familiar with the issue to learn more directly from Bishop McManus about why assisted suicide is morally impermissible and the difficulties it would create for ALL Catholics if it is legalized. Also hear from State Senator Ryan Fattman as to how legalization of the current bill would not be the end to the legislative efforts put forth by the suicide lobby.
